Robert T. ANGSTEAD -- Robert T. ANGSTEAD, 91, 2337 Highway 34, died at 4:42 a.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Parkview Care Center.

A joint service for Mr. ANGSTEAD and his wife will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. ANGSTEAD was born June 2, 1915, in Fairfield, the son of Robert H. and Grace TROXEL ANGSTEAD. He married Helen E. BATTIN June 20, 1936, in Monmouth, Ill. She died Monday.

Mr. ANGSTEAD was a graduate of Fairfield High School. He worked as time keeper in the appliance division at the Dexter Company for 37 years, retiring March 18, 1975. He lived in Fairfield his entire life except for 23 years in Batavia.

Mr. ANGSTEAD was a member of the Iowa National Guard for 17 years. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1927.

Survivors include five grancdhilren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Charles Allen "Tony" ANGSTEAD; two daughters, Carla CUPP and Marsha Sue HANSHAW; and his parents.
