John Charles COOK, 75, formerly of Fairfield, died March 15, 2006.

Mr. COOK was born Jan. 5, 1931, the son of Roy Raymond and Nellie Jane Simons COOK. He married Lucille FYVIE Aug. 2, 1952. She died in August of 1998.

Mr. COOK served in the 101st Airborne of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. COOK was the former owner and operator of Little John’s Freight of Fairfield for many years.

Survivors include five children, John Jr. and wife Sue of California, George and wife Nrivana of Oregon, Mary Jane KARLOVITS and husband Rudy of Flagstaff, Ariz., Cindy Marie DOWD and husband Harold of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Sue Anna WRIGHT and husband David of California; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister, WilaBea KITCHEN of Fairfield.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donald COOK, Jasper COOK and Dale COX; and two sisters, Geraldine CHRIST and Velma LOGA.
