Danny Earl CARTER, 52, of rural Birmingham died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Ottumwa Hospice House.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds. The body has been cremated.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to 11924 Gray Av., Douds 52551.

Mr. CARTER was born July 26, 1953, in Fairfield, the son of Fred W. and Ruth Filson CARTER.

Mr. CARTER grew up in the Douds community and graduated from Van Buren High School in Keosauqua. He was a carpenter and commercial fisherman.

Survivors include one son, Dustin CARTER of Boone; one daughter, Sarah CARTER of Ames; his parents; one brother, Ron CARTER of rural Douds; and one sister, Debra LOFTUS of rural Douds.
