Warren H. WESTERCAMP, 71, of Newton, formerly of Bonaparte, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Community Heights Alliance Education Center in Newton, with the Rev. Mark Caston, a nephew, and the Rev. Syd McCrorey officiating. Burial will be in Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.

Open visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at Community Heights Alliance Education Center, where the family will be present from 1-1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Warren WESTERCAMP Memorial Fund and taken to the service or mailed to the family at 4866 Highway S74 South, Newton 50208.

Arrangements are in the care of Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton.

Mr. WESTERCAMP was born May 26, 1935, in Fremont, the son of John and Elsie Triplett WESTERCAMP. He married Erma M. LANE March 14, 1968, in Salinas, Calif.

Mr. WESTERCAMP graduated from Bonaparte High School and took electrical training in California. He had lived in Burlington, Cupertino and San Jose, Calif. He was an electrician with Cupertino Electric until retiring and moving to Newton in 1990.

Mr. WESTERCAMP had served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Community Heights Alliance Church in Newton and Bonaparte Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Deanna WATER and husband Bill and Deborah HORNING of Newton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six brothers, Charles WESTERCAMP of Farmington, LaVerne WESTERCAMP of Farmington, Rex WESTERCAMP of Mount Sterling, Max WESTERCAMP of Bonaparte, Marvin WESTERCAMP of Keosauqua and Dave WESTERCAMP of Keosauqua; and four sisters, Velma CASTON of Burlington, Vivian KREISS of Fairfield, Joyce KELLER of Fairfield and Audrey CASTON of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
