Lyle SCHROBILGEN, 84, of Fairfield, died Friday, July 28, 2006.

A memorial mass service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. A memorial mass also will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Nativity Church in Dubuque. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Family visitation will be one hour before each service.

Letters of condolences may be sent to the family in care of Doreen Anderson, 2531 Oasis Blvd., Fairfield 52556.

Memorials may be sent to St. Mary Church, 404 N. Third St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. SCHROBILGEN was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Dubuque, the son of Charles and Martha Diebold SCHROBILGEN. He married Elizabeth CRIPPES in 1952. She died March 23, 1977.

Mr. SCHROBILGEN worked in the floor covering trade for more than 60 years, living in Dubuque, Minneapolis, Minn., and then retiring in Fairfield.

Mr. SCHROBILGEN was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Fairfield.

Survivors include three daughters, Shelia DIMICO and husband Pat of Seattle, Wash., Doreen ANDERSON and husband Eric of Fairfield and Mary HENINGER and husband Terry of Fairfield; three sons, Paul SCHROBILGEN of Minneapolis, Minn., Kim SCHROBILGEN of Fairfield and Charles SCHROBILGEN and wife Lorena of Riverside, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six brothers, Glenn SCHROBILGEN of Oceanside, Calif., Kenneth SCHROBILGEN of St. Paul, Minn., Derald, Dale and Wayne SCHROBILGEN of Dubuque and Loras SCHROBILGEN of Davenport; and two sisters, Geraldine GYURE of Sunland, Calif., and Darlene KASKIE of Denver, Colo.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Verena SCHROBILGEN; one brother, Warren SCHROBILGEN; and two sisters, Maureen SCHROBILGEN and Janet RANG.
