Mabel D. “Mert” Wagner RUIZ, 66, of Eldon, died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at her home.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Janet Lasley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Cards and memorials to the family may be sent to James Mancille-Ruiz, 1044 W. Third St., Ottumwa 52501.

Mrs. RUIZ was born Jan. 8, 1940, in Fairfield, the daughter of Paul and Sylvia WILLIAMS.

Survivors include five children, Donald WAGNER of Ottumwa, Paul WAGNER of Muscatine, Lewis SHELLADY of Columbia, Mo., and Mindy ORNDOFF and James MANCILLE-RUIZ, both of Ottumwa; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, Alitha SCHWANTIS, Iris WILLIAMS, Opal ELAND, James WILLIAMS, Paula COOK, Stephan WILLIAMS and Will WILLIAMS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marion and Edwin WILLIAMS.
