Carolyn “Sue” MILLIGAN, 63, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at Marengo Memorial Hospital from complications of cancer.

A service was at 1:30 p.m. today at Kloster Funeral Home in Marengo, with the Rev. Lynne Bisson officiating. Burial will be in North English Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Mrs. MILLIGAN was born May 5, 1943, in Sigourney, the daughter of Donald and Bernice Laird VANDYKE.

Mrs. MILLIGAN received her education in English Valley schools and graduated from Amana High School in 1961. She attended Indian Hills Community College. She was employed at Southern Iowa Economic Development Association in Fairfield for 15 years, then was director of Marengo Senior Dining, and finally worked at the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program corporate office, concentrating on energy assistance for the elderly.

Mrs. MILLIGAN was associated with Trinity United Church of Christ in Marengo.

Survivors include four children, Donald PHILLIPS and wife Cindy of Waterloo, Tina MOYER of Marengo, Michael PHILLIPS of Williamsburg and Victor MILLIGAN of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, James VANDYKE of South English and Jerry VANDYKE of Williamsburg; and two sisters, Mary RUSBULT of Marengo and Patty WILLE of Conroy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack.
