Tues., Nov. 14, 2006, p. 8.Audrey C. MILLER, 74, of rural Stockport died at 5:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at home.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Willis officiating. Another memorial service will be held in Janesville, Wis., at a later date. The body has been cremated.
Family visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Lee County Hospice may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 16063 Spruce Ave., Stockport 52651.
Mrs. MILLER was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Batavia, the daughter of Eugene and Evelyn Johansmier JEFFREY. She married LaVerne “Red” MILLER June 23, 1954, in Burlington.
Mrs. MILLER graduated from Burlington High School. She lived in Milton, Wis., for 48 years until moving to Stockport in 2002. She worked in retail stores and a shoe factory in Wisconsin and had been president of the shoe workers union.
Mrs. MILLER had been a member of a snowmobile club and a coon hunters club.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Debra BORGWARDT and husband Daniel of Milton, Wis.; one son, Jeffrey MILLER and wife Sue of Milton; four grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Virginia HEITMIER; and one brother, Arnold JEFFREY.
