OTTUMWA — Dorothy B. JOHNSON, 86, of Galesburg, Il, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 9:10 p.m. August 15, 2006 at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, IL.

She was born November 21, 1919 in Van Buren County to Earl and Bertene Humphrey DANA.

She was raised in Fairfield, and had lived in Ottumwa most of her life. She had worked at the Canteen, and then worked at John Morrell & Co. until 1973. She worked at the snack bar at St. Joseph Hospital and Ottumwa Regional Health Center until 1987. She had also been a greeter at Wal-Mart.

She was affiliated with the Methodist church.

Surviving is a daughter, Nancy (Ron) CASTEEL of Galesburg, IL; a son, Rick (Deb) JOHNSON of Ottumwa; four grandchildren, Travis CASTEEL, Kelly PEDERSEN, Tammy MARCH and Tim JOHNSON; 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Gleason DANA, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Reiley officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday. The family will be present one hour prior to the service on Friday.
