Mon., Aug. 21, 2006, p. 10.Beatrice J. IVINS, 93, formerly of Batavia, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at Monroe Care Center in Albia.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Batavia Cemetery, with Harry Monroe officiating. The body has been cremated.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Monroe County.
Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. IVINS was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Leon, the daughter of George and Polly Hill MARTIN. She married Heston IVINS Nov. 15, 1930, in Leon. He died Feb. 20, 2003.
Mrs. IVINS was raised and educated in Decatur County, living in the Ottumwa area and in Minnesota before moving to Batavia in 1984. She moved to Albia in January of 2003. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Bob IVINS of Albia; one daughter, Maxine CARSON of Fort Madison; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
