Pat HESTON, age 70, of Fairfield, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 13, 2006 at her home, following a battle with cancer.

Friends may express their condolences to the family 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, November 17, 2006 at Behner Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Metz will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial. Lawn Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made in Pat’s memory to Hospice of Central Iowa, or charity of donor’s choice.

Pat HESTON was born in Fairfield, Iowa on July 2, 1936. She was the daughter of Loren F. and Marjorie (KELLER) STARK. Pat lived all her life in the Fairfield community, graduating from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1953.

Pat was united in marriage with Richard V. “Dick” HESTON on September 5, 1953. They were the parents of two children: Terri and Steve.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was employed at the Fairfield Vet Clinic for 25 years, and for 8 years at Midwest Airgas. Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. She was a Chairman of Residents Advocate of ResCare for 6 years. Pat’s hobbies included needlework, searching for antiques and keeping up her farm home. Pat was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and treasured her many friends.

Pat is survived by her children and their families: Terri DROBNY and her husband Chuck, of Fairfield, IA, and Steve HESTON and his wife Jodi, of Cedarburg, WI. Pat was grandmother to Scott & Nicki DROBNY, Kate HESTON, Wyatt Richard HESTON, and Harper Ann HESTON. Pat has two great-grandchildren: Dana and Lauren DROBNY.

Survivors include two sisters: Marilyn TODD of Harrison, AR and Mollee MCCAIN of East Moline, IL, and special brother-in-law Dick BRUEY of Fairfield.

Preceding Pat in death are her parents, her husband Dick on October 11, 2002, her sister, Betty BRUEY, and an infant son.
