Carol Edith DURST

Carol Edith DURST, 58, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz and the Rev. Dave Peterson co-officiating.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the DURST family. Cards and memorials may be sent to 311 W. Jefferson Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. DURST was born April 11, 1948, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Dwight and Madelyn Carlson ZEPP. She married Duane DURST Feb. 23, 1968.

Mrs. DURST graduated from Pekin High School in 1966 and obtained a nursing degree from Indian Hills Community College. She was a registered nurse for 38 years, 10 years of which were spent in Mount Pleasant at Park Place Long Term Care Unit.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include her husband; two children, Todd DURST of Perry and Carrie BROWNLEE and husband Mark of Fairfield; four grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra LANGRIDGE of Burlington and Katheryn GREENE of Powder Springs, Ga.; and one brother, Dean ZEPP of Meriden, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
