Gordon Lee BRYAN, 69, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, May 5, 2006, at Saint Mary’s Health Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at Saint Joseph Cathedral in Jefferson City, with the Rev. Jeremy A. Secrist officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in La Porte City.

Memorials may be made to Samaritan Center, 1310 E. McCarty St., Jefferson City 65101.

Mr. BRYAN was born Aug. 25, 1936, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Verle O. and Frances Cole BRYAN. He married Connie Kay KIMBLE July 6, 1963, in Cedar Rapids.

Mr. BRYAN was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Iowa in 1958. He was employed for eight years as a cost analyst with Collins Radio Company in Cedar Rapids on the Apollo space program. From 1971 to 1979, he was owner and manager of the Montgomery-Ward Catalog Store in Fairfield. He was co-owner of All-American Pest Control in Fairfield and Osage Beach, Mo., from 1978 to 2002.

Mr. BRYAN served in the Iowa National Guard for several years.

Mr. BRYAN was a member of Saint Joseph Cathedral in Jefferson City.

He enjoyed reading, gardening, keeping current on politics, going to auctions and sports, especially Iowa Hawkeye football.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Sara Jayne BRYAN-VON GUNTEN and husband Lawrence of Jefferson City; two sons, David BRYAN and wife Karen of Overland Park, Kan., and Michael BRYAN and wife Yadira of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren; one brother, Jerry BRYAN of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one sister, Diane RAE of Olympia, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
