Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, Pg. 12.Phyllis Irene BARTRUFF, 75, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale, Ark.
A “Celebration of Her Life” will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista.
Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72762, to plan and establish an angel garden to be incorporated in the expansion of the facility. Contributions also may be made to First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista.
Arrangements are in the care of Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory in Bella Vista.
Mrs. BARTRUFF was born July 25, 1931, in Milburn, Neb., the daughter of Lloyd Merle DAILY and Gladys Mildred Velma Butcher DAILY. She married Wayne BARTRUFF Jan. 1, 1950.
Mrs. Bartruff was employed at Concordia Care Center for more than 15 years. She and her husband lived in Fairfield from 1970-1979 while her husband was the reverend at First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. BARTRUFF was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women’s Club in Bella Vista. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club for many years, where she was past president of the Bella Vista Club. She was a member of the PEO and was involved in Alzheimer’s Association, “Music Man” theater production and many Bell Choirs in Ames, Iowa, and Bella Vista.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Jerry BARTRUFF and wife Carla of North Liberty, Jim BARTRUFF and wife Lindy of Emporia, Kan., Philip BARTRUFF and wife Lisa of Union, Ky., Mike BARTRUFF and wife Sabrina of Union, Ky., and Larry BARTRUFF and wife Lori of Beaver Dam, Wis.; three brothers, Howard DAILY of Norfolk, Neb., George DAILY of Bella Vista and Bill DAILY of Elkhorn, Neb.; three sisters, Gertie DICKMAN of Bella Vista, Mary Alice LYNN of Westminster, Colo., and Ida BROMM of Tekamah, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
