NELSON FUNERAL THIS ATERNOON
Old Resident Died Saturday Morning Of Heart Disease Near Salina

Lewis (sic - Louis) P. NELSON, one of the older residents of Jefferson county, died Saturday morning at his home at Salina. He had risen early to start the fire and then returned to bed. When his folks went to call him about 8:30 he was found dead in bed. A physician was hurriedly called who pronounced that he had been dead for over three hours and that death was probably due to heart disease or cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. NELSON was born in Sweden October 15, 1847, being at the time of his death 75 years, 3 months, and 5 days old.

The funeral services were held this afternoon from the Salina church and interment took place in the cemetery nearby.

Mrs. Augusta ECKWALL of this city and Mrs. Henry STORTZ of northwest of Fairfield are daughters of Mr. NELSON. Oscar NELSON, who was brought back from Unionville, Mo., Saturday in a demented condition, is a son of the deceased.
