Mrs. L. Ben DAVIS, 71, 207 E. Adams, died Fri. 2:15 p.m. at Jefferson County Hospital.... Bur. will be in the Salina Cemetery. Behner Funeral Home.

The former Valeda JOHNSON, lifetime resident of Jefferson County, born March 11, 1894, daughter of Christian and Emma AUGUST JOHNSON. Married Sept. 1, 1929.

Survived by her husband and one son, Lawrence B. Davis Jr., Fairfield, and two grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Vada JOHNSON, Marshalltown; Mrs. Effie CARLON, Panorama City, Calif.; and Ralph F. JOHNSON, Fairfield. Two sisters, one brother and one grandchild preceded her in death. Member of the First Lutheran Church and OES.
