GLENDALE. Mrs. Charles VEBURG died at Essex, while visiting a son, John NELSON. Mrs. VEBURG was 84 years of age and had lived on the home farm 40 years. Her husband died 14 years ago, and since she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. C. H. JOHNSON. The remains were brought here Saturday, and interred in the Swedish Methodist Cemetery..... Mrs. VEBURG had been married twice, and her sons, John and Frederick NELSON, and three daughters, Mrs. BROKAW, Mrs. JOHNSON, and Mrs. Fred SCHNERINGER of Nebraska, and son August VEBURG, of Kansas, who served in Company E, Second Iowa Infantry, were present at their mother’s funeral..... Mrs. VEBURG had been a most kind and helpful neighbor, but for a number of years had been greatly afflicted, blind and deaf.
