Gus V. SCOTT, 94, a resident of Fairfield for many years, died today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Marie MC INTOSH in Burlington. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery. Behner Funeral Home.....Born Oct. 22 1873 in Stockholm, Sweden, son of August and Augusta Scott. He came to the United States at the age of 15 and lived in the New Sweden community. Married Esther A. CASSEL Dec. 25, 1905. They moved from Fairfield to Winfield about 1960. Surviving are his widow and three children: Charles and Warren SCOTT, Winfield; and Mrs. MCINTOSH, Burlington; 4 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and three sisters: Mrs. Bertha PHILIPPI, Flosmore, Ill.; Mrs. Judith TJADER and Signi SCOTT, both of Sweden. Scott was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, serving with Company M, 50th Iowa Infantry Regiment.....
