March 27th occurred the death of Grandmother SAMUELSON, as she was called. Her maiden name was Hannah PIERCE, and she was born in Sweden May 6 1811. April 24 1830 she was married to L. L. SAMUELSON who died many years ago. Nine children, of whom only four are now living – A. G. SAMUELSON of this place; F. W. at Humboldt, Nebr.; Mrs. C. A. FARMAN, Lockridge, and Mrs. A. A. PETERSON, Stromsburg, Nebr. In 1847, the family came to Jefferson County where Mrs. S. lived ever since with the exception of a few years just over the line in Henry County ..... Remains interred in the M. E. Cemetery.

On Mar. 27 occurred the death of Hannah (PIERCE) SAMUELSON, about two miles northwest of Four Corners. Born in Sweden May 11 1811. Married L. L. SAMUELSON Apr 24 1830, who died several years ago. Nine children, four still living – A. G., who has been caring for his mother for many years past; F. W. of Humboldt, Nebr.; Mrs. C. A. FARMAN, Lockridge, and Mrs. A. A. PETERSON, Stromsburg, Nebr. Came to America and to Jefferson County in 1847. Remains interred in the M.E. Cemetery ..... Free Methodist church many years.
