Mrs. John LINN, one of the early Jefferson County pioneers, was 90 years 9 months and 13 days old at the time of her death which occurred at the home of her son John in Salina on July 16th. Sarah Christina JONESDOTTES was born in Skeda Congregation, Ostergotland County, Sweden, Oct 3 1823. There she spent her early womanhood. On Oct. 8, 1848 she was married to John LINN. After living for 12 years in Horn Congregation, they emigrated to America in the spring of 1860 with their two children and settled in Lockridge Township, where with the exception of a short time Mrs. LINN has lived ever since.

Burial services were held Friday afternoon from Salina where a short impressive service was conducted in the Swedish language by Rev. John GABRIELSON, pastor of the Swedish M.E. Church. At the New Sweden church the services were conducted in the English language by Rev. John O. BERGESON, formerly in charge at New Sweden.

The husband and father preceded his wife to the great beyond eight years ago. This union was blessed with six children, two of whom are still living, Anna L. BERGQUIST of Washington, Iowa, and John S. LINN of Salina, also 6 grandsons, 2 great-grandsons.....
