P. L. FULTON KILLED NEAR SELMA TODAY
Buzz Saw Strikes Former Well-Known Fairfield Resident

SELMA, Ia., Jan. 15--Pearl L. FULTON, well known farmer near here and former resident of Fairfield, was almost instantly killed at noon today when he was struck by a buzz-saw which fell off of a trestle.

Mr. FULTON has a son Harry L. FULTON who lives in Fairfield and nine other children. Two brothers, Joe FULTON and C. J. FULTON also live in Fairfield.

Mr. FULTON was working on his farm near Selma when the accident happened. He lived about an hour after the saw struck him, death resulting from internal hemorrages.

P. L. FULTON FUNERAL HERE ON WEDNESDAY
Will be Held at the Hoskins Funeral Home At 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Pearl L. FULTON, who accidently met his death yesterday near Selma, will be held at the Hoskins Funeral Home, on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The services will be in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith and burial will be in Evergreen ctmetery (sic). The Odd Fellows will have charge of the services at the grave.

Mr. FULTON, who was born October 1, 1865 (sic - 1864), in Fairfield, was working with a buzz-saw on his farm near Selma, yesterday afternoon. The saw fell over on his legs, and before those who were helping could remove the saw, he had lost a great amount of blood through a severe cut. Death followed soon after.

He was the son of Joseph Warren and Elizabeth MINEAR FULTON, and was married to Miss Edith V. SNOOK of Fairfield, on February 29, 1886 (sic - 1888). To this union, eleven children were born, all of whom are living with the exception of one son, who died in infancy.

Mr. FULTON is survived by his wife and the following children: Robert L. FULTON of Webster City, Ia.; Mrs. Grace ROHRER, of Ottumwa, IA., Mrs. Elizabeth CAMPBELL of Des Moines, Ia.; Harry L. FULTON of Fairfield; W. Wayne FULTON of Fairfield, Ia Mrs. Marion BEGGETT (sic - DAGGETT) of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Mildred EDWARDS of Selma; Arthur P. FULTON and Frederick C. FULTON at home, and Mrs. Florence PARSONS of Selma, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren are left to mourn his loss.

He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Charles J. FULTON of Fairfield; William A. FULTON of Libertyville; Joseph W. FULTON of Fairfield, and Mrs. Eliza MORRISSEY of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and two brothers, Robert and Dr. A. M. FULTON.

... Harry RINGELSPACH and his mother Mrs. Emma RINGELSPACH attended the funeral of Mr. Pearl FULTON of Selma who was killed with a wood saw, Monday forenoon. The funeral was at Fairfield at the Hoskins Funeral home and just a week ago to the day his grandson Harold FULTON was held at the same place and same hour.
