MRS. WILLIAM LONG DEAD. Mrs. Anna LONG, nee CUMMINGS, was born in Fairfield, Iowa, Oct. 14, 1861, and died at her home in this city, Thursday, Apr. 19, 1900. No immediate relatives surviving her except her father, J. J. CUMMINGS, her brother Frank, and her husband. Mrs. Kate CUMMINGS, her mother, died when she was but six years of age and from the time she was 12 until she was married kept house for her father. A peculiar coincidence is that Mr. LONG has lived with his widowed mother since he was 12 years of age, and he and his late wife were playmates in their early childhood and have been friends and companions continuously from that time. On November 30, Thanksgiving Day, 1899, Miss CUMMINGS was united in marriage to William L. LONG, and the couple have resided in this city since that time, their married life being one of happiness and peace. Thus her death was doubly sad, on account of her short married life and for the fact that her father was so attached to her by her close and continued companionship with him.... Lagrippe.... Interment in the City Cemetery on the LONG family lot.
