Obituary. James Madison McKAIN, Co, I, 16th Iowa Vol. Inf. Reg.. He came to Washington Co., Iowa, in 1850. Later in company with his father and a brother, J.R., he went into the milling business on Skunk River. In 1876 the mill burned and he moved to Fairfield, Iowa. He was S.A.R.. One grandchild, Murl MUNGER of Fairfield.
