LYDIA WISECARVER COOPER died early this morning (Feb. 8) at her home, 625 North Court St., Ottumwa. At her bedside were her four sons, James COOPER, Edward G. COOPER, Guy COOPER and Frederick R. COOPER, and her two daughters, Miss Abbie COOPER and Miss Laura COOPER.
Mrs. COOPER was the daughter of Samuel and Mary WILSON WISECARVER of Waynesburg, Pa., and was born there Apr. 13, 1845, coming to Fairfield in 1865. On Nov. 21, 1867, she was married to Wm. H. COOPER who died Mar. 23, 1915. Baptist Church.
Besides her sons and daughters, four grandchildren survive: Caroline COOPER of Shenandoah, Margaret Jane COOPER, William Hersey COOPER and Mary Elizabeth COOPER of this city (Ottumwa); four brothers, J. E. WISECARVER of Denver, Col.; Col. A. C. WISECARVER and H.E. WISECARVER of Fairfield, and I. T. WISECARVER of Sigourney, and two sisters, Mrs. David SNIDER of Denver, Col., and Mrs. Frank CHIDESTER of Fairfield.
