Mrs. H. B MITCHELL passed away at her home on West Adams St. on Wednesday afternoon Apr. 21, 1909. Born in Abingdon, Washington County, Penn. (Va.) Aug. 22, 1827.... Came with her parents to Jefferson County. October 26, 1847, became the bride of H. B. MITCHELL... Established a home on a farm 2½ miles from Fairfield. Here they lived continuously for 41 years, later coming to Fairfield, where they have resided for the past 20 years.

Nine children, all are living -- two sons and seven daughters: Mrs. L. L. WILKINS, Fairfield; Mrs. D. J. DIXON, St. Charles, Minn.; J. D. MITCHELL, Fairfield; Mrs. D. W. INGHRAM, Osceola, Iowa; Mrs. F. M. ALBAUGH, Mineral City, Ohio; Mrs. U. B. ROGERS, Fairfield; Mrs. C. H. CORBITT, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. E. E. CULP, Chicago, Ill.; T. A MITCHELL, Neola, Iowa.... Evergreen Cemetery.
