DIED AT A RIPE OLD AGE. Sarah MURPHY, wife of William DUNWOODY, died at her home on North Court Street, this city, Thursday.... Mrs. DUNWOODY had been a resident of Fairfield for more than half a century, the family having come here May 14th, 1849. She was a woman of more than ordinary intelligence and ability... In early life she became a communicant of the Protestant Episcopal Church, but for many years was a member of the First Methodist Church of this city....

Mother of seven children, four of whom died in early life. Her aged husband and three sons survive her -- William P. DUNWOODY of New York City, Col. H.H.C. DUNWOODY, U.S.A., now at Havana, Cuba, and Lieut. Francis M. DUNWOODY of the United States revenue cutter service, now stationed at Galveston, Texas.
