ALLEN McLEAN FATALLY HURT. Allen C. McLEAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norton McLEAN of Lake Forest, Ill., was fatally injured Thursday when he was struck by a car on a Chicago street.

McLEAN died during the night in a Chicago hospital, according to word received by Fairfield friends. A law student in Chicago, he was crossing a street when the accident occurred.

McLEAN was a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul McLEAN of Fairfield. He was married this summer to Diane Marie CROTTY. Mrs. McLEAN is a teacher at New Trier High School in the Chicago area.

McLEAN's father, Norton McLEAN, graduated from Parsons College in 1938. His mother, the former Jessie CARSON, also attended Parsons. McLEAN is survived by his wife, parents and one sister, Rebecca.

EVANSTON MAN KILLED BY CAR, THROWN 50 FT. -- Police Charge Driver on 4 Counts

Allan McLEAN, 23, of 609 Oakton St., Evanston, was killed yesterday when he was struck by an auto at 2729 Howard St.

The driver of the car, Richard Olsen, 29, of 2203 Ridge Av., Evanston, was charged with reckless homicide, drunken driving, reckless driving, and refusing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian. He was scheduled to appear in traffic court on Nov. 15.

Thrown 50 Feet

McLEAN, who was crossing the street, was thrown 50 feet by the impact when he was struck by Olsen's car which was eastbound in Howard street. Sgt. Robert Krause of the Damen avenue traffic unit said Olsen's car skidded 76 feet before hitting the victim.

McLEAN was the winner of the Midwest Amateur Golf tournament on the Waveland course in Lincoln Park last month. He was a former captain of the Northwestern university golf team. He was graduated from Northwestern in 1964.

McLEAN was a student at the Kent Law school. He is survived by his widow, Diane, 23; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norton McLEAN of 619 Timberlane rd., Lake Forest; and a sister, Rebecca.
