Mrs. Elizabeth SCOTT, wife of Melchi SCOTT, died in this city Saturday morning from typhoid fever.

She was born on Thanksgiving Day 1805, daughter of Christopher and Mary CLOUSE; born and raised in Washington County, Penn.; married in 1830 and lived in the neighborhood of the place of her birth until 1860, when she came with her husband and family to this city. Mrs. SCOTT was a woman of pronounced character and more than ordinary intelligence.... M.E. Church.
