DEATH OF AN AGED WOMAN. Mrs. Esther GOVER died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. B. BARROW, southwest of this city, yesterday morning at 9:45, in the eighty-ninth year of her age. Her maiden name was CHIVERS, and she was born in Somersetshire, Eng., Dec. 28th, 1810. She grew to womanhood there and was married to Elijah GOVER.

The family came to this county in 1854 and located on a farm southwest of this city, where the husband was accidentally killed in 1858. Mrs. GOVER was the mother of nine children, four of whom are now living -- Mrs. U. G. FAULKNER and Mrs. H. B. BARROW of this county, Mrs. E. CREW of Sioux City, and D. J. GOVER of Eugene, Oregon.... she was very generally loved and respected, for she was an excellent christian woman, an affectionate wife and mother and a kind neighbor....
