Walker M. BLACK, 85, pioneer Iowa insurance man, died in Des Moines Friday. Buried Evergreen Cemetery.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses C. BLACK, early settlers near Fairfield. Survived by widow and two children, C. H. BLACK and Mrs. Catherine Blossom PERTNING, all of Des Moines. Mr. BLACK was an uncle of Charles H. GAGE of Fairfield.

Obit. Walker M. BLACK; married Katherine J. AVERILL at Durand, Wis., Aug. 21, 1879. Four children, two dying in infancy.
