.... Father ________ of this county. He ............intgon County, Pa., the place of his nativity, to Iowa about 25 years ago. In the year 1819 he was united in the bonds of matrimony to Eizabeth CRANE, who still lives to mourn his loss. He has nine children living, eight sons and one daughter, the youngest of whom is now about thirty-three years of age. All the sons were permitted to follow his body to its final resting place. Early in life he united with the Lutheran Church.... He was one of the original members who organized the English Lutheran congregation in this city on the 25th of December, 1856, and he did much toward its permanant establishment.....
