Death of Nancy M. (HOLBROOK) SHEWARD Mon., Jan. 15, in San Jose, Calif.. Remains will be brought to this city for burial.

DEATH OF MRS. SHEWARD. Mrs. Nancy SHEWARD, for many years a resident of Fairfield, died at the home of her son in San Jose, Cal., Monday. The remains will be brought to Fairfield for burial and will probably arrive today or tomorrow.

Nancy HOLBROOK was born in Morgan County, Ohio, Dec. 1, 1826. July 4, 1844, she was married to Thomas SHEWARD and in 1852 they came to Iowa, locating in Fairfield. Mr. SHEWARD died about 25 years ago but Mrs. SHEWARD continued to make Fairfield her home until two years ago when she went to Oklahoma to live with her daughter. Later she went to California where she died.

Survived by four children: Mrs. Ella HUNTZINGER of Enid, Okla.; L. A. SHEWARD of St. Louis, J. T. SHEWARD of San Jose, Calif., and C. L. SHEWARD of the "Birmingham Enterprise".
