DIED, FLIGG - Dec. 18, 1876, in this city after fifteen days acute suffering with inflammation of the brain, Minnie FLIGG, aged 6 years 3 months 15 days.

Note: Daughter of G.W. & M.F. FLIGG, buried in Old Fairfield City Cemetery in Lot 139 W½, on a spire-type monument with four of her siblings. In a cemetery reading done in 1966, it was noted that the age on her portion of the gravestone was 5 years, 9 months, 16 days. Iowa did not require official records at the county level prior to June of 1880, so no death certificate is available for her. Clarification, if known, would be appreciated.
