"Fairfield Ledger", Sept. 7, 1881, Pg. 3, Col. 7

DEATH OF NATHAN T. WHITE. The death of Mr. Nathan T. WHITE, which occured at his home near this city on Saturday last, is one which will occasion considerable sadness and regret, although he had been among us but a short time. Mr. WHITE removed here with his family from Ann Arbor, Mich., early last spring, having purchased the BARTHOLOMEW farm southwest of the city and other tracts of land in this vicinity. At his old home he had been an extensive breeder of fine horses and cattle, and he hoped to engage more largely in the business here, hence his removal here was looked upon as a valuable acquisition to our community. The summer was busily spent in farm work and improvements, and some weeks ago Mr. WHITE succumbed to hard work and heat, and was taken seriously ill. His disease rapidly developed into typhoid fever, and death finally resulted from paralysis of the heart. Age 44 years 7 months and 21 days. Leaves a wife and four children, two sons grown and two daughters perhaps fifteen years of age. Deceased was born and lived nearly all his life in Ann Arbor town, Michigan, two miles east of that city. Married to Miss Lovinia M. PORTER, Sept. 20th, 1856. The remains were interred Sunday at the cemetery near this city, but will probably be removed to Michigan as soon as the weather will permit....
