Mrs. Mary FAULKNER died in this city April 28th, at 7:45 p.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jesse COOPER who resides on West Monroe Street. Aged 84 years, 5 months and ten days.

Born in Summerset Shire, England, December 26, 1832, daughter of Elijah and Ester GOVER (Esther CHIVERS GOVER). At the age of 17 with her parents came to the United States and located in Washington County, Penn., where they resided for three years and then moved to Jefferson County, Iowa, where deceased had since lived with the exception of four years in Perry, Okla., where her husband died Feb. 1, 1908. She was married to U. C. FAULKNER in Fairfield, Iowa, May 1st, 1857.

Five children, four survive -- one daughter, Mrs. Jesse COOPER, and three sons, Charles, William and David R., all of this city. Also leaves one brother, two sisters, fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. M.E. Church in early life... Free Methodist Church of this city. Funeral Sunday afternoon April 30th, conducted by Rev. L, Mendenhall, assisted by Rev. J. Watterson and S.S. Stewart.
