Dr. Shaffer's "Mortality List" shows "Child (of) J.W. MESSICK, age 14 months, died Jan. 12, 1855, of Catarrh Fever; Child (of) Jas. MESSICK, age 4 y., died July 26, 1855, of dysentery."
