Mrs. Richard H. VAN DOREN died in Fairfield, Iowa, Jan. 15, 1894, aged 62 years three months and eight days, of consumption. Her maiden name was Mary Ellen HAYWOOD.

She was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and was the third child in a family of nine children. With her widowed mother she came to Walnut township, Jefferson County, in 1846, and removed to Fairfield in the spring of 1847. Married, Nov. 1, 1849, Richard H. VAN DOREN. She was the mother of five children, three girls and two boys. Three children are living: Cora, Jennie, now Mrs. A.O. FAULKNER of Lincoln, Neb., and Frank....

The remains will be interred in the City Cemetery tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Funeral services at the house.
