Sudden death of the wife of W. E. GROFF, one of the old settlers of this county, and whose home is some two miles west of town. Death occurred at 11 o'clock Sunday night.

Her maiden name was Elizabeth GILLETTE, and she was the daughter of ________ GILLETTE, who used to own and live on the place where Mr. and Mrs. GROFF have lived for many years. She was married nearly or quite 40 years ago, and has been the mother of seven children. Of these five are living, all grown, Joseph, Edward, and Louis, all of this county, Mrs. Ennis FRAME of Colorado, and Miss Laura, who is living at home. Presbyterian.

The funeral, which was to have taken place on Tuesday, was postponed until Wednesday, so that a brother from Ohio might be present before she was laid away.....
