Last Friday morning James ECKERT was taken suddenly ill at his home in this city, and in a few hours died. Born in Fairfield in 1857 and grew to manhood here. He learned the trade of a moulder in iron and spent his time working in the large cities until a few years ago he returned here to live with his mother, who died last October. Two sisters, Mrs. Will YOUNG, of this city, and Mrs. Ed. CRANE, of Council Bluffs, are the only remaining members of the family left to mourn the loss of an only brother.....
