MET DEATH IN CALIFORNIA. Wm. L. HAMILTON, near Bakersfield.... Son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. L. HAMILTON, who were pioneer residents of Fairfield but who left this city more than a third of a century ago, although some members of the family have resided here since that time. The dead man himself lived here for some time about 20 years ago. He was about 52 years of age. Two members of the family are yet living -- Ed. HAMILTON at Elgin, Ill., and Miss Maggie HAMILTON in Burlington.
