"Fairfield Ledger", Sept. 13, 1905, Pg. 9, Col. 2

The "Burlington Hawkeye" notes the death of Mrs. Lucy M. HAMILTON in that city the 8th inst.. She was the wife of Wm. L. HAMILTON, left Fairfield about 1860. The family lived for many years just south of the city, in the property which is now the home of Mrs. James F. WILSON. Mrs. HAMILTON was formerly Lucy M. CARTER, and she was born at Flemingsburg, Ky., in 1824. Three children survive... Burial in Burlington Sunday.
