The body of S. C. DRAPER, former resident of this community, will arrive in Fairfield early in the morning and services will be held at the Hoskins funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday.
DRAPER, whose home has been in Omaha, Nebraska, for the past several years passed away Wednesday night at the Illinois Central hospital in Chicago where he underwent an operation two weeks ago.
He was a retired building and bridge superintendent for the Illinois Central railroad. He fell two weeks ago and fractured his knee cap, and was taken to the Illinois Central hospital at Chicago for treatment.
DRAPER, born and reared in Brighton, was 78 years old at the time of his death. He was united in marriage in 1896 to Hester MIKSCH, who survives. the wedding took place in Brighton.
Also surviving are three children: Mrs. Olive SHEEHAN, Omaha; Dr. Lawrence DRAPER and Dr. William DRAPER, both of Chicago; two grandchildren and one sister.
The body will arrive from Chicago at 12:15 a.m. in the morning and taken to the Hoskins funeral home where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. with Dr. L. L. Weis in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
DRAPER is a brother-in-law of Mrs. Jesse MIKSCH, 109 East Jefferson street, Fairfield.
