Page 1, Column 7John B. STEWART died early this morning at the home of his nephew, Dr. J. S. GAUMER on West Broadway....
Born at Zanesville, Ohio, Aug. 21, 1844. His parents moved to Jefferson County when he was very young. His father lost his life by drowning when John was but three years of age. John assisted his widowed mother and his only sister throughout the hardships of pioneer life and lived with his mother on a farm in Buchanan township until her death. He then moved on a farm northwest of Fairfield and where he lived until four years ago when he came to this city and made his home with his sister, Mrs. S. G. GAUMER. Since her death he has lived with his nephew, Dr. J. S. GAUMER......
