KILLED BY THE APACHES. J. H. HAMPSON sends us a copy of the Clifton, Arizona, "Clarion" of Wednesday, June 2d, which gives the particulars of the raid made on his ranch near that place on May 30th by the Apache Indians. On Saturday a party of cowboys who had gone out from the ranch found Indian signs and sent one of their number in to give warning of the approach of the redskins. The messenger was intercepted by the savages and was unable to reach the camp, while the larger party also came up to another band of Indians. All the men reached the ranch about the same time on Sunday, and found Tom CREECH, the foreman, and a man named McGINLEY, an employee, dead, both murdered by the Indians....

Troops were sent in search of the marauders, but there are so many bands prowling around in that section that it is quite probable the murderers will never be apprehended. CREECH formerly lived in this county, but has been with HAMPSON for several years. He was once in the employ of John GILBERT, the brick maker, and now has a brother working at the same place. He was a man of good habits, and left many friends here who will mourn his untimely end.

Daniel CREECH arrived in this city Thursday, with the remains of his brother, Thomas CREECH, and those of Fred, a son of John GILBERT of Cedar Township. Mr. CREECH was killed by Indians on J.H. HAMPSON's ranch in Arizona several years ago, while young GILBERT died from injuries sustained when he was thrown from a horse about a year ago. The two bodies were interred in the Roth Cemetery, south of this city, Sunday.
