MRS. ERICKSON CALLED TODAY IN FAIRFIELD
Local Woman Summoned At Home Of Daughter, Mrs. McCAMPBELL

Matilda Rossiana (sic - Malinda Rosiana) ERICKSON, who was born Feb. 26, 1854, in Lockridge township, Jefferson county, died today at 2:30 a.m. She had been in failing health since April of this year. She passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Charles T. McCAMPBELL, 202 E. Broadway.

She is survived by the following children, Harvey C. of Fairfield; Wesley M. of Paonia, Colo.; Mrs. Lavina COCHRAN of Fairfield; Walter E. of Dorchester, Mass.; Roy of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Mrs. Mable McCAMPBELL at whose home she died.

Surviving also are two brothers Alsie HILLMAN, of Salina; and Geo. HILLMAN of Los Animas, Colo.; and ten grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Her husband, Albert ERICKSON, died June 5, 1931. She had been a resident of Fairfield for 32 years.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hoskins Funeral Home. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.

MRS. A. M. ERICKSON

Malinda Rosiana ERICKSON, the daughter of Charles J and Mary HILLMAN was born in Lockridge township, Jefferson county, Iowa, one mile northwest of Four Corners, on February 26, 1854, and passed away October 2, 1936, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles T. McCAMPBELL, at 202 East Broadway, Fairfield, at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to Albert M. ERICKSON, February 26, 1878, ond (sic) to this union were born seven children. Those surviving are Harvey C., of Fairfield; Wesley M., of Paonia, Colorado; Mrs. Clarence COCHRAN, of Fairfield; Walter E., of Boston, Mass.; Roy D., of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Charles T. McCAMPBELL of Fairfield. One son Ralph passed away February 22, 1908, at the age of 17 years. Her husband passed away June 5, 1931. She is also survived by two brothers, Alsie HILLMAN of Salina, and George E. HILLMAN of Las Animas, Colo., and ten grandchildren and a large number of nephews and nieces, who mourn her loss.

The tokens of many beautiful flowers tell of the high esteem in which she was held.

Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Oct. 4, 1936, conducted by Rev. S. P. Williamson of the First Christian church and assisted by Rev. A. M. Gable of the First Methodist church.

Mrs. L. W. VanNostrand and son George sang as a duet, "In The Garden" and "Abide With Me," with Mrs. William Stever at the piano.

Pallbearers were Ephriam Hollander, Harper HILLMAN, Chester Hickenbottom, Glenn Sherman, Bert Rizor, Lloyd HILLMAN. She was laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery.
