George METZLER, who grew to manhood in this county, died at Riverside, this state, the 5th inst.. He was a son of Capt. F. F. METZLER, and was a soldier in the Civil War, a member of Co. H, 30th Iowa Infantry. The family left this city about twenty-five years ago. Mr. METZLER was fifty-five years of age, and his home had been in Idaho and other western states for some time past. His remains were taken to Des Moines for interment.
