ASA CHILCOTT DIED HERE TODAY

Asa CHILCOTT, a well known resident of Salina who with his wife has been spending the winter at the home of her brother, J. Horace CUMMINGS, 304 West Adams Street, passed away this morning at 4 o'clock after a short illness.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 oclock (sic) from the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies and interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery (sic - Old Fairfield Cemetery).

Mr. CHILCOTT and his wife, who was formerly Miss Laura CUMMINGS, celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in this city Feb. 25. He was born in Jefferson County Sept. 10, 1858 (sic - 1857 on his gravestone).
