Long A Resident Of This County; Private Funeral Services On Sunday
Mrs. Caroline A. GIBSON died this morning at 2 oclock. She had been in failing health for several months. Funeral services will be private and will be held from the home southeast of the city Sunday at 2 oclock.
Mrs. GIBSON was born in Zanesville, Ohio, April 23 1849 and came to Iowa in 1851. She resided near Libertyville, later moving to Fairfield where she has since made her home. She was married March 3, 1868 to J. J. GIBSON in Fairfield, who died October 19, 1892. Mrs. GIBSON joined the Lutheran church when she was 16 years old, transferring her membership to the Presbyterian church in 1888. The following children survive her: George, Nellie, Charles and Edward of this city; Mrs. J. E. FORTNER and Mrs. Walter BOYES of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Sam GILBERT north of the city. A sister and brother of this city, Stella and Alfred HEATON, and a brother C. L. HEATON of San Antonio, Texas, also survive.
