FUNERAL SERVICE FOR MRS. BUCHANAN

The funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Eleanor BUCHANAN who died in Denver, were held Wednesday afternoon at the John BUCHANAN home in Fairfield, and the remains laid to rest beside the husband and daughters in Evergreen cemetery (sic - Old Fairfield City Cemetery).

Mrs. BUCHANAN died at the home of her daughter Mrs. D. M. LYTLE in Denver, Colorado, last Sunday, after only a few days illness, aged 84 years, 4 months and 21 days.

Eleanor LOCKE was born in Ireland January 10th, 1830, and came to this country while yet a young girl, settling in Jefferson county, where she resided until the death of her husband in 1907, with the exception of a short time in Missouri. She was united in marriage to William BUCHANAN, April 27th, 1858. They were the parents of eleven children, two daughters and the husband preceeding her in death. Three sons, Robert, John and David of Fairfield, Mrs. Mary STOLL of Beatrice, Neb., and Mrs. Isabelle MYTLE (sic. LYTLE) of Denver, Col., are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
