William BUCHANAN, a resident of Liberty township for many years, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Albert STOLL, in Beatrice, Nebr., where he had gone on a visit, Sunday. He was a native of County Antrim, Ireland, born Aug. 25, 1832, and was in the seventy-third year of his age. The body was taken to Libertyville Monday, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. Springer, and was then brought to this city for interment.
Came to America in 1852, and was married to Eleanor LOCKE in Fairfield April 27, 1858. Seven children were born of this union, five of whom are living to comfort the widowed mother -- Robert at Birmingham; Mrs. Albert STOLL at Beatrice, Neb., Mrs. D. M. LYTLE at Ogden, Utah, John and David at Libertyville.... He held a warm place in the hearts of early settlers.
